My favorite author is Brian Lumley... His books are incredible. His
Necroscope series combine Vampires, espionage (especially all of that
1980's cold war stuff), E.S.P. and tons of macbre visions which will
horrify the most bloody thirsty of us. In addition to the Necroscope
Series is The Psychomech Trilogy and the book Demogorgon.
Last Novemeber I finally got a chance to meet my favorite author. Brian
was at the World Science Fiction and Horror Convention in Washington
D.C. Slightly more than an hour away from my home in St. Mary's County.
So I took a trip up on Friday evening and lugging all of my Brian Lumley
hardback first editions (25 books in all) that I own in a gym bag through
the streets of D.C. I managed to get 9 of my books signed, and was
easily talked into coming back on Saturday to join Brian, his wife Silky,
and Dave (web developer of BrianLumley.com) for drinks and a party that
the publisher was throwing. While having drinks Brian signed the rest of
my books and was willing to pose for a picture with me:
